About the Application Form (Updated)
Posted by The Cell on January 14th, 2009
Update: we think the problem on Mac OSX may be related to the program called ‘Preview’ which opens PDF documents by default. This can be remedied by using Adobe Acrobat Reader, the download link is provided below.
Update 2: Schedule page (with pricing schedule) back online.
While the physical part of The Cell is gearing up nicely, some of the technological side is experiencing teething issues.
We have had some reports of difficulty saving and submitting the PDF application form on the Getting Started page. This technology is somewhat new to us but we thought it would be a great idea to simplify the process and the portable document format is cross-platform compatible so in theory you should be able to fill out and return the electronic form whether you are running Windows, MacOS, Linux or your PDF-supported OS of choice.
Prior to the page being live, we tested the compatibility with Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 7, 8 and 9 on Windows and version 9 on MacOS X, it seemed to work without a problem for us.
If you are filling out the form electronically, please try to use the latest version of Acrobat Reader if possible (get it here). Once you have filled the form out, please save a copy to your computer before using the in-built submit function or attaching to an email (either way is fine). Ensure you check the saved/attached version has your filled information before sending and if it isn’t saving or you have issues, please let us know and simply send the same information in a plain text email! We won’t discriminate and are trying to make the process as painless as possible. Leave the pain for training!
Some keen-eyed readers have also picked up some issues that require addressing in the pricing schedule so we have taken that offline while it’s amended.
Thanks for your patience with these minor bumps and don’t hesitate to make contact in the mean time!
All the best,
Jason & Stef
