that deadlift photo is awesome, that’s a keeper!

    CFT debrief:

squat: the 100kg was actually a warm up set… someone had 120kg loaded up and i thought “oh yeah, that seems feasible”… unfortunately it wasn’t.. got stuck at the bottom each time. annoying, but i certainly learned my lesson. result = 10kg less than last time. i wasn’t in the zone at this stage as work was hectic and the traffic was shit getting there. i probably could have lifted 115 if it had been my first attempt.

press: 45kg was the first, then jumped to 50kg for second and failed. tried a 3rd and also failed. possibly should have attempted 47.5 instead but i’ve obviously got underlying issues with the press that need to be addressed at some stage. result = same as last time

deadlift: 130, came up easy, was in the zone, feeling good. 140, still pretty easy, cracked a pb, getting amped. decided to go for 150 as at the start of the year i set that as one of 2009′s goals, wasn’t sure if i had it in me… came up pretty good! was a bit of a struggle but i’ve done far uglier deadlifts before!

so overall i increased my CFT by 5kgs but could have done better if i didn’t f*ck up my squats.

really happy to finish on a high note with the deadlift i’m super stoked at beating that goal and cracking 1.5xbodyweight

also broke paleo and am currently sipping on my first beer in four weeks… it tastes daaaamn good. (paleo debrief will follow another time :P )

no wait, i increased my CFT by 10kgs… previoud dead at CFT was 130 (did a 1RM of 135 later at TSC)

  5. Adam Piller says:

Was a great night! Awesome energy, everyone giving each other a rev up! Great to be a part of it!

  6. michelle says:

CFTs are so much fun…… :)

Total = 235 (Previous CFT ?from June? was 227.5kg)

So, I managed PBs in both the squat and the press (and was very happy to get 40kg here :) ). The DLs felt very heavy tonight – started at 105kg, then 110kg, then attempted 115kg and couldn’t move the weight more than about 2 inches off the ground. I’m still not used to using a monkey grip, either, which didn’t help things. So, my PB still stands at 112.5kg, from the TSC a few months ago.

Overall, I’m very happy with my results.

And while it was definitely fun to watch the boys tonight, I want to know what happened to the other Cell girls!!!!

Would have loved to be there but Rehab for me Michelle :(
