The Cell – Real Fitness Standards
Posted by The Cell on February 9th, 2010
Are you fit? Really fit? Fit for the Real world? Fit for life? Fit for combat? Fit for sport?
Check out The Cell – Real Fitness Standards and see where you are at.
These standards have been developed by The Cell coaches over the past 6 months with input from various sources; CrossFit affiliates, The Cell members, Concept 2, Soldiers, Police Officers and elite athletes.
The Cell will use these standards to grade our members. 3-4 times a year we will offer grading days, similar to what a martial arts studio offers. Members will be able to attend, test themselves against a random selection, from their nominated level, of 10 movements.
Those who pass will be awarded a t-shirt, wrist band, certificate and a place on the “Real Fitness Whiteboard” at The Cell.

rad! do we get belts? and can we karate chop stef?
Almost Gusman. We have different coloured level tees and wrist bands like the charity ones every man and his dog wears.
It’s very similar to a martial arts system.
You can karate chop Stef anytime!!
I openly welcome the karate chop, but all must know that I have been training in the way of the sword, Conan and I are now one and I have mastered the art of the sword.. May you fear the sword in all its glory…
SS
On a recent trip to Lihir Island PNG I mastered the art of finding a short cut through a small section of jungle to a sports and recreation club to gain the knowledge of pricing remote, remote electrical work. Does this count towards my “real” standards achievement??
For those that have no idea what I am talking about.
