The majority of the Western world celebrates today as a day of symbolic peace, giving, sharing, prosperity, birth to a new and better life, love and care for our fellow human being. The Cell’s coaches and staff would like to wish all who choose to celebrate Christmas a very clear and peaceful day. For those who’s cultural practices do not align themselves with Christmas may your lives be peaceful, and in fact may the essence of what Christmas is resonate with everyone on Earth; and may we all have clarity and peace. Virtue and ultimate goodness knows no cultural boundary, a world full of peace is a world full of sincere happiness. Thank you for a wonderful year and may next year be perceived and felt to be even better! Peace and best wishes, your Cell coaches & staff.
Owing to ignorance of the rope the rope appears to be a snake; owing to ignorance of the Self the transient state arises of the individualized, limited, phenomenal aspect of the Self.
Guru Nanak.
A little and a little, collected together, becomes a great deal; the heap in the barn consists of single grains, and drop and drop make the inundation. Saadi.
“Just as your car runs more smoothly and requires less energy to go faster and farther when the wheels are in perfect alignment, you perform better when your thoughts, feelings, emotions, goals, and values are in balance.”
“Follow your bliss. If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and dont be afraid… and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”
The great blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it. Seneca (7 B.C. – 65 A.D).
There was a cage with several apes in it. In the cage there was a banana hung on a string, and stairs under it. Before long an ape went to the stairs to get the banana, but as soon as it even touched the stairs, all apes were sprayed with water. After a while the same ape or another one made another attempt, with the same result: all apes are sprayed. If later another ape tries to climb the stairs, the others will try to prevent it. Now they took one ape from the cage and put in a new one. The new ape saw the banana, and wanted to climb the stairs. To his horror all other apes attacked him. After another attempt he knew: if he wanted to climb the stairs, he would be beaten up. Then they removed a second ape and replaced it by another new one. The newcomer went to the stairs and got beaten up. The previous new ape took part in the punishment with enthusiasm. A third old ape was replaced by a third new one. The new one made it to the stairs and got beaten up as well. Two of the apes who beat him have no idea why they may not climb the stairs. They replace the fourth old ape, and the fifth, etc. until all apes which have been sprayed with water have been replaced. Nevertheless, no ape ever tries to climb the stairs. One day a new, young ape asks, “But Sir, why not?” ”Because that’s the way we do things around here, my boy.” A Parable from unknown sources.
An interesting vantage point… If nothing more, amazingly beautiful imagery which stops and allows us to contemplate deeper meanings of our own existence. SS
The human potential is perceived as infinite, if we close our minds there are some tasks that seem effortless. Physically executing these though is some times a point that needs more than just surface attention. On the other hand, for some impossible does not exist…
